A parent remains with each child from start to finish.
What your children will actually do
Children are handed pirate costumes as they board (or may wear their own), and the crew are dressed the same way. The treasure hunt runs around the deck with clues and hidden loot, and there are games, stories, face painting, dancing and pirate-themed shows through the day.
What the adults do
Mostly very little. There is room to stretch out and sunbathe while the crew keep the children occupied. Parents do remain responsible, and they stay with their children all day. This tour is designed for families and is not a good fit for a group of friends without children.
Swims and lunch
The boat pauses along the coast so everyone can swim and snorkel in the sea. Lunch is on board with food that children will eat. Extra drinks are not in the fare, so allow for those. Spare clothes for the children go in the bag beside swimwear, towels, sunscreen, hats and sunglasses, and bring a camera or a phone: costumes make good pictures.
Little Pirates or the Pirate Ship?
We sell two children's days. On this one a child's fare is lower than an adult's and the emphasis is costumes and stories. The Pirate Ship has an animation team, a delta swim and a foam party, and a child pays the same as an adult. Our guide to boat tours with children sets them side by side.
